The kodak playsport Jx3 is a compact camcorder capable of recording HDvideos at 1080p.The stylish looking playsport games with a 5 megapixel CMOS sensor for video quality.The playsport looks sturdy and seems it can take shocks due to accidental falls. It's also waterproof up to three meters underwater. There is a menu for settings but is not well defined.The playsport has a 2-inch screen. There are buttons on front panel for recording, menu, delete and a navigation key. The buttons are hard but of good quality. Alot of space is wasted around button area which could have been used for a larger screen. The video clarity under brigt conditions is good. In a well lit room the video quality is decent but with dim lights, the video becomes grainy. The playsport performs well under water. The playsport has a4x digital zoom which is better avoided. The microphone is sensitive and of good quality. The playsport can take still photos but the quality is average. The compression on it is not very good and to be able to record 1080p videos for three hours you will need a16GB card which is not included in the package. At Rs. 7999 it is a good buy but to be able to use it you will have to spend Rs.2500 on a SD card.
